BOXED is a digital art exhibition that features bodies of work produced by artists during a time of social isolation. Although most of us are stuck at home due to the current circumstances (shoutout to you, if you’re an essential worker), we wanted to foster a creative space and more importantly, a sense of community, which is vital to the empathic work we do as artists. Why not put our minds and imaginations to work?
You’re here because we admire the unique perspective of your work, and want to put it on display for the whole world to see. Not for likes, not for shares, but simply because we know y’all will rise to the challenge and blow us away with whatever you produce in these next 30 days!
Once all of the projects are turned in, they will be showcased on the official BOXED website, set to launch on July 2nd, 2020.
So here’s the challenge:
We're looking for art that reflects on how current circumstances have impacted our internal lives and our relationships with the outside world. How has your understanding of space changed? Has there been a shift in your interpersonal relationships, or more importantly, your relationship with yourself? These are just some of the questions you might want to ask in preparation for the next thirty days, but feel free to interpret the theme however you like!
All artists are given 30 days to complete their body of work.
(Don’t worry, there will be deadline reminders!)
Since we’re currently in a worldwide pandemic, all artists are required to make their projects at home. Think outside of the BOX and just have fun! We want you to be proud of the work.
