Ryan DeForeest is a Los Angeles-based writer and director focused on intimate, character-driven storytelling. His short film My Brother & Me premiered at the American Black Film Festival, earned a 56th NAACP Image Awards nomination, and two 2026 Best of NFMLA nominations. Since 2021, he has documented Victoria Monét's creative process, including the making of her Grammy-winning album Jaguar II. He was also selected for GLAAD's 2025 Black Queer Creative Summit.
He is currently developing his feature directorial debut.
