Ryan DeForeest is an LA-native writer and director. His short film "My Brother & Me" has screened at festivals across the country and was nominated for Outstanding Short Form (Live Action) at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards. The film also had an exclusive streaming deal on American Airlines for the past 12 months.
He was a finalist in the PictureStart x GFS “Discover Your Voice Fellowship” in 2022, a semi-finalist for NewFest’s New Voices Filmmaker Grant (presented by Netflix) in 2024, and was recently chosen to participate in the 2025 Black Queer Creative Summit, hosted by GLAAD.
